Which mods for my 'Stang?
Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum. Although i've owned a 2005 V6 Mustang for a couple years. I was considering trading it in on a used GT, but I wanted to look at my option regarding upgrades to my V6. I have the extended warranty with ford on my mustang, would installing a supercharger or turbo void my warranty in any way? My budget is about $6000-$7000 CAD. Which supercharger would you recommend for a car that is driven every day, about 50km? Suggest anything that you think would be a nice addon to this car. Shes black with a tan leather interior, and it's a 5 spd manual. Totally stock except for the rims. Thanks for your help, lots of nice looking Mustangs from what i see looking around on these forums

It would be tough to build a daily driver v6 with gt hp for 6-7k.

I've been reading about the X Charger. Would that be a good supercharger for a stock V6? I don't really want to upgrade too much. Good sound, and about 300HP is all I need Is the X Charger easy to install? Would I be able to do it myself?

I see your Canadian as well, I know a shop in Woodstock Ontario that sells the Vortech H/O supercharger for around ~$5000 (plus tax, install) which can give you around 330hp 330 torque or the base non high output system for ~$3500 which puts out 290/300. Here is the site

Again, you can't just buy a supercharger.
You need to figure at least 800 dollars for a rear end.
You need to figure at least 400 dollars for a driveshaft.
And this is ignoring suspension.

But with the XCharger wouldn't I be able to run on the stock driveshaft and rearend? I'm not taking this Mustang to the track. It's just going to be a car to drive around town, with a little more 'go' at the stoplights if you know what I mean . Other than that I plan to drive it like I do now.
First thing I would have to do is get rid of all the 87 octane fuel in my tank .

This is what I am saying.
Yes, you could pop a x-charger on your car for well under your budget.
However, to me it would be necessary to upgrade other components as well.
For instance, your car has no rear sway bar...right?
Also your stock clutch will become an issue.
Not to mention your waiting for something to go wrong with your driveshaft or rear-end.
