Default warranty repairs

I was driving my 06 the other day and decide to turn on the AC .As soon as I turned it on I heard a loud rumbling sound and I knew right away what it was .I opened the hood and the compressor was locked up .Since it's still under warranty the dealer is going to install a new compressor at no charge but the thing is I only have about 11,000 miles on the car .Can't understand why it went up so fast being that I really don't use the AC that much.

From what I have read, the sad part about that replacement is it doesn't stop it from happening again.

Perhaps your AC failed because you rarely use it.I've been usingmine every day for the last 2 months and I fire it up from time to time during the winter.

Mold on the steering wheel center piece??
As in little tiny blemish spots on the Pony??

You may just have a bad pump...not every pump in a delivery can be perfect...you may want them to check your freon levels just incase that is linked to it...

And ask ford if they will warrantee your new compressor

Mold, what is this all about? Or did you just spill something on your steering wheel...?

You never know about why some parts fail. The AC/heater fan motor died on my F550 with only 300 or so miles on it. Ford took care of it with a new one and no problem after over 150,000 miles. Sometimes, it's just a bad part and the luck of the draw.

For some reason, the center piece will start to look pitty or like something is on it. Many have taken theirs back to Fordand they have to replace the whole steering wheel. I've noticed a little on mine but I'm not going to worry about it for a while. It's not that noticeable.

Good info to know about the steering wheel. I had noticed that on mine as well. Guess I'll take her in and have it checked out. Thanks
