GT takeoff is a great way to spend $50. Great sound...car breathes easier. Do it first...and then the CAI and a tune when you get some cash set aside.

How about some dice for the rear-view mirror? I believe that adds 1-2 HP.

A K&N drop-in air filter supposedly does something for you (I dunno, maybe it adds 1 or 2 HP?). They are only 30 or so bucks.

I highly recommend the GT takeoff. It is so cheap, and so easy to install. Just make a post in the 4.6L section, saying that you want one. Someone with a GT surely has their originals that they want to get rid of. They are for sale at www.v6mustangstuff.com too. My only warning is that the unused left muffler will beg you and beg you to install it, and you will eventually decide to run duals. This finally got the best of me, and I now run dual GT takeoffs.
