RE: best price for an aluminum driveshaft?
$445...that doesnt seem that bad actually.
Can someone that recently did the mod detail the noticeable changes?
If this gets rid the highway speed shakes...that low level buzz that seems to be in every Mustang...then I am sold. Any change in the motor spooling up a bit faster? That seems to be allot less weight to be trying to get spinning.

RE: best price for an aluminum driveshaft?
I have the 4" Shaftmasters, it's been on since last year. Got rid of the shake on the highway (the dealer service department could never feel it, but when I took it in fora 30,000 mile check up they saidthey could tell the difference on the test drive)and the car definitely accelerates faster. When I put it on I went to the track the next day and it took a .1 off my time right away, and my 60' was down as well. I had it put on at a shop and when I got on the expressway to head home it accelerated so much quicker and was so much smoother that I was doing 85 before I knew it. You will notice a big difference.

RE: best price for an aluminum driveshaft?
Def ONE of my next many mods. I need shocks/struts, and a 8.8 rear but def throwing in the driveshaft when i change the rear end.
i can't wait to get rid of the vibration's and I have felt the U joint's are starting to bind it feels like lately. I'll drive the car hard and when i take off slowly from a stop I can feel a horrible grind/binding feeling.

If you change to an 8.8 then does the clips need to be different, becasue I was thinking of going to an 8.8 and if I can get one cheaper with the GT clips then I will just order a driveshaft to fit the GT rear instead to save some money in the long run
Never mind the GT driveshaft costs 100 dollars more so heck I would save by buying an 8.8 with the V6 Clips

Even if you put the 8.8 on you need to use the V6 driveshaft. The length doesn't change when you upgrade to the 8.8 rear end. You do need the cobra adapter which runs less than $20.
