Default Loose mustang

Why is my mustang seems so loose? Brand new 2008 v6 with 4000 miles. I'm getting scare to drive on the parkway going high speed. I would hate to change lane going that fast.

you mean like the steering feels loose? or the car itself is loose as in the backend feels lose? ethier way i'd get that looked at, it doesnt sound normal, in my 05 stang the steering is perfectly tight and feels like a dream. and mine seems to have more of a tendancy to tight at high speed rather then being loose. meaning the front tires break tracktion first making it plow rather then the back end breaking loose.

Ethier way it doesnt sound normal and i'd have it looked at. but then agian i've only had my 05 stang for about 2 weeks now so, what do i know? =P

I have an 07 V6 non PonyPackage.
It was cr@p until I did some suspension upgrades.
V6es dont have a rear sway bar and that will cause
trouble with fast high speed lane changes.
Yous gots the V6 with NO rear sway bar or the
PonyPackage with the 18mm rear sway bar?
Either way, get a 20mm GT take-off rear sway bar,
a front 34mm GT take-off front sway bar and the associated
Prothane Poly Bushings. It will improve cornering 400%.
Mine is so predictable I can swing the rear end out at will
and have it snap back straight without to much driver input
on the steering wheel.
She just WANTS to go straight when the rear end swings out.
No snapping back the other way and throwing you into the curb.

Does your stang have the Pony Package? If not get a rear GT take-off sway bar and it will slove most of your problems.

I dont have a pony package and Ive noticed it feels really loose at high speeds if I move out of a straight line.

So the car rolls a lot at high speeds, like how you said when changing lanes? Try finding a GT rear sway bar.

If it's the steering that's loose you might want to get it checked out. Is there slop in your steering wheel?

I have a pony package on my mustang. It's not my steering, it's my car. I guess it's time for my GT upgrade. Where is best place for GT take offs?

Do all the 08 have on board tire pressure monitoring? If not check your pressure you might have one or more that are low.
