Creaking When Slowly Initiating Motion

I've searched several times under the words "creak" and "pop" but only a small handful of threads returned with not much insight to the noise I'm hearing. (Only one thread mentioned it with no resolution or detail.)

When I start to move the car forward from a stop, I hear creaking and popping noise coming from under the car. Is this the chassis? Has there been any more detail on this phenomenon? Does anyone else experience this?

Thanks for all replies!

How loud is it? Is it worse the faster you accelerate from a stop? Do you hear it at all when you come to a hard stop, like flooring the break from 10mhp

The noise volume is consistent. It's as if the chassis creaks under the load of the torque when I slowly accelerate from a stand-still. (I don't notice the sound when braking to a stop.)

well then its deff not springs/shocks u should have a mechanic look at it for sure, not the stealership. My guess would be something with the control arms possibly...but pray to got its not like a weld coming apart in your frame or something

Thanks. Why do you recommend against the dealership? (The car is still under warranty.)

If it were the welding coming apart in the frame, can this be re-welded?

LOL. That's it, huh?

Yeah check your brakes, they might be dragging slightly.

Ok, I'll check it in the morning.
Thanks.

I get this all the time (Im in AZ). You might have dusty or wet brakes man, no big deal.

If its the sane thing I get, It happens when you slowly let off the brakes, and then accelerate from a dead stop>? It usually happens to me when I brake hard, come to a stop, don't move, let off the brake slowly and then accelerate. The car kind of jumps.
