Single Exhaust to dual?!?
Where do I start to do this? I'm assuming I will need a whole new rear end bumper, and some other goodies.
Where do I start to do this? Also if I did this would it reduce my MPG, add to it, or keep it the same?

Look on americanmuscle.com or v6mustangstuff.com
FRPP makes a dual kit as well.
You don't necessarilly need a new rear bumper, the stock one can be cut to accomodate the second muffler. The FRPP dual kit comes with little black trim pieces that go over the cut-out so it looks really clean.
Your MPG should improve a little bit.

Does the H pipe for a GT bolt right onto the
cats of a V6 allowing you to use a GT dual exhaust
on a V6?
Or does it involve cutting the H-Pipe off the GT after
the cats and getting it welded onto a V6 that has the Y-Pipe
removed right after the cats?
Is the spacing between the outlet pipes on GT cats and
the spacing between V6 cats the same?

I'll be installing dual this weekend on my mustang. I went with GT manual takeoffs mufflers and mid pipes($100). I went with pypes x pipe XFM44 ($74.99) for easy fit and 2 muffler hangers ($23.99 each) also made by pypes. Can't wait!!!

But to answer that.... The complete H-Pipe with Cats off a GT will not work on the 4.0L. The drivers side of a GT has an O2 sensor in the end of the manifold and then the second after the cat. On our 4.0s both of the O2s are on the same pipe, before and after the cat. Secondly it will not line up. You have to cut the cats off the GT H-pipe to use it on the 4.0L.
See this thread for pics.

No he was asking if you can put on a full GT exhaust (including the H pipe) and mount it right up to the cats on a V6.
And I am pretty sure when you cut off the V6 Y you can bolt any H or X right up to it.
