A tune and intake wont have any effect on smog. I know if you are going to tell your insurance it will raise your rates since they will charge you a "customized" fee.

Ya, I don't know if I'd tell my insurance company about it. My rates are bad enough as it is. Just my 2 cents.

I figured I would post on this post so I dont open another. The tunes from Bama, do you have to have a CAI with it? Also, what if you add one later, do you have to upload a diff tune? I want to get a K&N CAI. Thanks

Im not shure i think you have to buy a new tune. Just get the combo from bama

The only reason im telling my insurance company is if i get in an accident, i will have no coverage so its wise to tell them
but thanks for the responses!

Hi! Lethaldosage423
You are worried too much. The CAI and tune are not much to tell your insurance. Furthermore, you need to claim insurance if it is destroyed when you are in a powerful head on collision or your car is total. That is likely not happenned. Relax. Stop worrying. Life is short.
