Default wheel dilema

finally around for getting some wheels but heres the problem. 18's or 20's? and i know this subject has been beatin to death but the 2 wheels are different styles so i wanted some opinions.

American Muscle 18" bullits price: 623 ish - 40 if i go staggered

Cruizin Concepts 20" bullits price: 720 give or take some

i would really love some feedback or perhaps any experience with either of these vendors. Anyway any input is appriciated.

Man, those 20's sure look sweet! I like how they fill the wheel wells up.

I love the 20s look...but performance wise I hope you know you'll be hindered (more so on a 6) but if that dosn't matter go for it. If you want the 18s though and happen to live near AZ I happen to know that my buddy have a set off his Shelby for sale for $850 for the rims/tires, very few miles...like 2k miles or so? Just a thought. Have fun with whatever you choose! I love the look of BBs!

Default wheels

I love the big wheels and how they fill up the fender. Just do research on the weight of the wheels b/c it will have a big impact on your gas mileage and acceleration. You might have to also recalibrate your ecu if you change the outside tire diameter much. also using big wheels with low profile tires will make your ride bumpier, even more if you have your car lowered... I have 19" Zenetti wheels on my '05 V6 and I can tell you they weigh a whole lot more than the OEM.there some wheels out there that are lite weight but cost a bunch. dont forget big wheels required big tires and they are not cheap....dont mean to sound negative but you should know the facts before dishing out some big bucks.

On the positive side the car looks awesome with big wheels and will feel like it has more top end speed. It may also rise up the overall car height depending on your tire ratio which will help you go over obstacles...hope this helps

Have you looked at the American Racing Torque Thrust Ms? I, personally, would go with them. But then again, i'm biased.

Yeah... 18s on a lowered car don't look that great anyway

Just remember rotational mass

if you have the V6 front and rear bumpers 20's look way too big.

IMO lowered with 18's looks better in person and gives the car more of a high performance look.

im going with the 20s from cruzinconcepts. i'll have the gt front then.

those wheels weigh 28 lbs each, which is good for 20s.

they are a good price and 18s just aren't quite big enough for my tastes

I have a question, I have the same idea about tires and rims. But 1 set is take off 17"s outlaw package with the tire presure sensors. The other set is the American Racing Torque Thrust Ms 18"s with not tire presure sensors. What happens if I go without the tire presure sensors? Mine is an 07 which has them from the factory. Will my light stay on? Will it mess up the computer? Thinking I should just go with the outlaw take off's in the 17"s ten every thing should work right, right?
