I was wondering how you taped the lip.
Guess you didnt. Rattle can or professionally
done with a top clearcoat?
Process prior to painting was?
Did you remove the weights before painting?
Did you remove the tires before painting.

heres what i did, i jacked up the tires one at a time, i would sand it down with 400 grit then 800 grit, then put blue painters tape around rims and apply newspaper to the painterstape to cover the tire. i would clean it with DUPLICOLOR prep wipe then spray it with DUPLICOLOR black wheel coating then wait about 5 minutes and applied the DUPLICOLOR clear coating (you can buy all this at AutoZone for about 35 dollars). it only takes about one can of black and clear but i would buy two blacks and 1 clear just in case.. after i would finish one wheel i would put it aside and wait for an hour in the mean time replace the wheels that i took off to paint with the spare tire then unjack the car and move on to the next tire. jack it up and repeat steps. heres the order i went in front left tire to back left tire. wait an hour for the back left tire to dry then move on to the other side.. if u have interest in painting rims feel free to PM me
