Default Bama Tune Issue

So I finally got my C&L intake and XCal 3 from Bama (Doug) today. I have a 07 V6 Auto. I got the 87 torque, 93 performance, and 93 Race tunes. I installed the intake and installed the tune. The first tune I installed was the 93 Race and I followed the directions to a T. Only a blind monkey could possibly mess it up. I started the car and it was idling extremely rough and when I gave it a little gas it sounded like it was gonna stall. I tuned it back to stock and then re-installed the 93 Race tune and had the same result. Finally, I tuned it back to stock and installed the 93 performance and it started beautifully. I drove it around for about 30 minutes and didn't have one problem. Now for my questions:

1. Am I correct to assume that there is an issue with the race tune since the performance tune is working?

2. I know that there is some rule about the amount of times you can use a tune. Does that rule apply to the number of times you can use a tune on the same car or only if you are trying to tune multiple vehicles with the same tune?

Lastly, I am definitely happy with the performance tune. The change in shift points, throttle lag, and tire spinning ability is pretty impressive. Now I want the Race tune to work even more badly than before. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think there is such a thing as an 87 TQ tune, not enough octane to do what he needs to do.

I would contact doug and let him know what you're experiencing. Chances are he will either walk you through it over the phone/email, or resend you the tune.

Yeah you're right. I actually have the 87 performance tune. Regardless, my issue is with the 93 Race tune. I plan on talking to Doug on Monday because I have tried to contact him on the weekends in the past and he doesn't answer until Monday anyways. Any input on the 93 Race tune is appreciated.

i ran his race tune for a while and never had a problem.mine was tweaked a bit cuz he dynotuned it when i was n/a but the race tune is a 93 performance tune with a much touchier throttle. also i have an x2. the issue must be in the tune. if the 93 torque tune runs right that is. im sure its no biggie and he will just email you another tune.

Thanks for the input. I just e-mailed Doug so hopefully he will just e-mail me a new tune and that will fix the issue. Does anyone know the answer to the number of times you can use a tune from my second question above?
