Try WD-40 and a hairdryer to warm it up. Wd-40 will safely remove goo without hurting your paint.

Goo-Gone (trademark) is good to use and wont harm painted surfaces.
As is paste wax with petrolium distillates in it.

Best thing would be a microfiber rag...i use those for anything because they dont harm the paint. Or try like an old T shirt or something

Peanut Butter is slightly abrasive in nature.
Peanut oil is the same as peanut butter without
any of the unwanted scratch producing abrasives in it.
Try ready-whip creamy whipped topping.

Or some creamy unsalted butter.
Or just plain ol paste wax with petrolium distillates.

Just wrapped up doing this. I kid you not it took 4 hrs. This may be a special case. Two months ago someone keyed the drivers side and the shop had to remove the spoiler when they reshot the rear quarter. They laid down 2 1/2 strips along the outer edge, then four strips about 20" long in the middle. Never thought I'd get it off. I used wd40, Goo Gone and cleaner wax. I even tried a very tiny bit of Meg's #2, but that'll leave some fine stratches. Patience is the key, apply Goo Gone and let it sit at least ten minutes, then get you thumb on there. Good luck!
