Default AIRBAG LIGHT ON PLZ HELP.

Basically my airbag light is on. My car was involved in an extremely minor accident costing 150$ to repair. I went to the dealership and they said that because it was hit, it voids the warranty and most likely if i get into an accident into the future the airbags will not deploy.
They will charge me 150$ just to inspect the reason why the airbag light is on. Thats a lot of money for somebody to just check your car, and i really dont trust the prices for work that doesnt even need to be done. (I worked at a Cadillac Dealer and ive seen how they rip people off over and over)

does anybody have any opinions or solutions??? please help

thanks in advanced

p.s. I brought my car to the dealership because of a airbag recall or something like that and i thought that would fix the airbag light for some reason but that didnt do anything

Unplug your battery, wait 15 minutes and plug it back in. If that doesn't fix your problem, I suggest taking your car to a different dealership and tell them the airbag light came on. Don't tell them you were involved in a fender bender.

and you're probably in the data pool for your fender bender. Go here; https://www.nicb.org/cps/rde/xchg/ni.../vincheck.html and see if it's been reported. But just because it's not listed on the ins bureau's list doesn't mean the tech at Ford didn't enter it into the Ford computer. I'd take it to another Ford dealership, don't say anything but just ask them to do a diagnostic (after you fix the bracket of course). You'll know then if the other dealership reported the wreck, however minor it may be.

Did you ever get this fixed? Check fuze 17 at the SJB also, if blown, the light will be on. All ways check the fuzes first. It's the quickest, cheapest, most over-looked fix.

The second i saw his rims in his sig i knew this was going to come up lol.

Take it to the dealer or a private garage.
It may be expensive to fix because Airbags are temperamental and the slightest thing can set them off. its actually quite dangerous to work on the,.
