Default 4.10 gears

Just got my new gears put, makes a huge difference! Actually, gas milage is about the same, the only thing I am kinda disapointed with is that I seem to have lost a little bit of power on takeoff. I thought the gears would give me a better takeoff. I think the place that does my work and tuning is pretty worthless, so I have found someone else to trade my Xcal1 in for the Xcal2 who also says he has some kick *** tunes for the v6. We shall see how that works out, all in all I am happy with the gears. The are great in the mid-range RPM, especially on the highway when you want to pass! Makes driving a lot of fun... Also, had it on the dyno, with MMR CAI/Inlet Tube, and Magnaflow axleback I am at 198 RWHP/236 Torque.

Hey doc - Congrats on your new gears. Can you check, next time you're out, what RPM do you see at 60mph in 5th and 6th? I'm quite interested...

edit: Ugh, that was a silly question, first, there is no 6th gear, second, I broke out the calculator and came up with my answer. 5th should be around 2277 at 60mph and 3036 at 80. Sound right? (Too much sun today, I guess)

==gas milage is about the same==

I'm sure mine would suffer since I do mostly highway driving. It shouldn't make much of a difference in city driving though.

==seem to have lost a little bit of power on takeoff==

That is odd. Are you getting a hesitation? Do you think it's tune related or gear related?

==I am at 198 RWHP/236 Torque. ==

Good numbers!
