Default 19's on lowered Stang and questions

Hey guys got a question. I found a decent deal on ebay for some staggered 19's for my Stang, but does anyone here have 19's and is there a huge difference between them and 18's. I am worried they will look too big and quite possibly not fit since my car is lowered with FRPP springs. Also, I am worried the ride quality will suffer a lot. Opionions please.

BTW, anyone have some pics of installed headers and or projector headlights on their cars.

It seems that most people prefer 18"s, but there are some nice 20"s out there. The problem I think you will have with 19"s are trying to find tires as it is not a standard size.

I think Oddysey is trying to say its not a standard size for Mustangs. For some reason most mustang wheels go from 18's to 20's. If the offset of the wheel is correct ther wont be any fitment problems. Search tirerack.com for wheels there's 3 pages of 19's tires.

Yep what schapman said. There are a few people who went 19"s. That is what I get for posting too early in the morning

having 19s limits on what tires you can get usually and are a lil more expensive than 20s in some cases.

Talking 19"

I've had 19's on my car for over a year and I've had no problems finding tires for them. My car is also lowered and with low profile tires. The idea with the big wheel trend is to fill the wheel well with rim...just looks cool and meaner. The important issue when changing to bigger wheel/tires is the outside diameter of the tire - so that you dont have to recalibrate you speedometer and wheel backspacing - so that the tire does not rub against the wheel well.....other than that the sky is the limit on what size you want. I've seen 22's on a mustang

Also please note that as you increase the wheel diameter you will reduce the tire wall height - to maintain the factory outside diameter as close as possible - consequently giving you less rubber "insulation" on the road.. so expect to have a rougher ride..plus lowering the suspension will make it bumpier too...all this is when compared to factory set ups...

so basically you give up some comfort of the ride for performance and looks...
