Sometimes when I shift into neutral the rpms'll drop to 1k but bounce up to 1.5k and hold until i shift into gear again, than when back in neutral sometimes its alright and settled to 1k other times it's back to 1.5k! its happened 3 times now.. I imagine its the cai and evolution tune that could be the problem? unless my intake sucked something in it shouldn't have..

Nah man my car is stock and it does that its the new drive-by-wire ford used on them. Mine idles around 2k sometimes when in neutral then drops down.

push in the clutch and it will drop back down. Or once you roll to a stop it drops. I imagine a tune could get rid of that, but with the drive by wire there isn't much else to do. I hate it too. I'm not a hyper-miler but I like to coast when I can with the car out of gear sometimes.
