a nearby drag strip?

If none are within a 30-45mins of you, I don't condone it but a lot of people find large empty parking lots or straight aways that aren't near any streets that are somwhat secluded. Like closed factories(not necessarily shut down), non-used roads any more, long dead end streets that aren't busy at night, etc.

I suggest the strip, but I can't stop you from doing what you want with your car.

lolz "i don't condone it, but if you take a right on indiana avenue and go behind the steel warehouse on 78th, you might just happen to find some people there with fast cars at approximately 11:30 pm friday nights, and maybe there might just happen to be this guy named Hank there, he might be able to get you in the race if you slap down a hundo. Not that I would know or anything, i don't condone it."

legal drag strips. I don't do street racing and I like the fact that they have street nights for the public but can't seem to find good info on how to find drag strips
