Money matters

Damn, I just crunched some numbers and I put in a little over 4K in ALL my mods LOL
As it came in, it went straight towards my car
I wouldnt trade my car in for the world.....Ok I would for a GT500 LOL but, its all worth it and a total labor of love. I'm happy with what I've built and you cant put a price on that

I for one have never been into cars or into personal mods to make it my own car. This is the first car i have put any aftermarket money into. But so far I think this is what i have invested.. I will say with so many mustangs on the road that making it YOUR mustang is fun and makes it a tad different than the norm. I have noticed there are several types of MUSTANG owners. First the i am bad hear me roar v8 owners "no offense" I am referring to those that try to consider anything else other than a v8 not a real mustang. Then you have the mustang owners that love the mustang and love modding it. Then the 3rd type that just buy it to buy it
i am falling into the mustang catagory number 2. I got it because I really love the America of Old cars and after driving the mustang i loved it and know my son loves it "will be his car when he is off to college lol"
with that said here is what we have spent so far
wheel insert spinners "for the old style look" 100.00
Custom dual exhaust 500-550
CAI - 230
so close to 1000 already

After this weekend I'll have put in about $3325 into my Mustang. Completely worth it though. Haven't seen a Mustang like mine on the road yet, and I'm definitely faster than stock. I love driving this car!

1) How much money have you spent overall on your mods?
to date $8643 I have an excel spreadsheet I use to keep track of literally every dollar I spend on Beth, I also included labor costs and selling the factory parts along with applying that money back to whatever part it replaced minus of course the shipping&asc fee's.
2) How long did it take you to save up all of this money?
well I got the car in march of this year and had about $4k left over the rest has come from overtime worked during the summer at my job only mod put on the credit card was my sc kit which will be paid off by the end of the year.
3) Is the performance of your mustang now worth all of the money?
Its not so much the performance though once the sc is on and tunned I expect mid-high 12's out of it. I'd say its the experience of doing the modding and transforming your car's appearance to suit you own liking. When I'm done my car should outbrake a stock gt-500 *thanks to the Baer 14" brake kit toyo's&the fact it weighs about 400 or so less pounds* outhandle a stock gt-500 *thanks to the H&R coilovers w/Steeda camber plates, BMR lca's phb> swaybars&toyo 245/35/20&again the baer's 14" brakes* and out accelerate a stock gt-500 *thanks to the full dual 2.5" custom exh w/hi-flo cats, zabtek ported tb, vmp custom tunning and the main hp booster a new Vortech V3-SI self contained sc breathing threw a custom vmp 3.5" intake w/K&N filter into a 4" core bar&plate tmic and out a XS RFL recurculated BPV when I let off the throttle* all for less than $25 total investment which includes the taxes I paid at purchase all asc labor installation costs and the interest on the loan itself, plus I enjoy cheaper insurance+better gas mileage and I can say after all its not bad for a little 4.0 V-6 which really seems to p*ss off some v-8 owners
