Thanks for all advice. I ordered up the kit. I also bought a pair of Lisle LIS-30800 CV Boot Clamp Pliers. I figured it was a good excuse to add a new tool to my collection. Now I just have to wait until spring to get her out of storage. Oh I miss my stang

I am going to be getting 18x9 fronts and 18x10 rears for my 05 v6 possibly with a prokit. Am I going to be needing steering stops? I pray not. How much will this cost me? Also how much does it limit/affect your steering? Thanks!

I can't speak from experience since I put the steering stops on before I put on my new tires but everything I've read here (plus the description of the FRPP stops say you MUST use them when going from stock 16" to 18") says that you have to. Check out the link for the Rouch stops above or do a search on American Muscle. That particular package is $10 and easy to put on.

As far as limiting steering...I haven't noticed any difference but then I rarely turn the wheel to full extension (i.e. U turns). That's the only time the stops come into play. Without them the wheels are rotated too far and will rub the inside of the weheel well.

I also rarely go lock to lock and rubbing is not a problem.

Note: For vehicles with 16" wheels from the factory:
-installing 17" x 8" wheels, use steering stop 4R3Z-3932-BA
-Installing 18" x 8.5" or 18" x 9.5" wheels, use steering stop 6R3Z-3932-CA
For vehicles with 17" wheels from the factory:
-installing 18" x 8.5" or 18" x 9.5" wheels, use steering stop 6R3Z-3932-CA

Are you saying as long as youre careful not to do a FULL turn, there shouldnt be a problem?

From what I have read on here, As long as you don’t go full lock you should be ok. With that said I ordered the part above. I'm sure I will turn full lock sooner or later.
