if you already have duals "i could be way wrong' i don't think it will sound to different, i have read the h vs x pipe is x = more exotic and h a tad deeper. i can tell you that with the hpipe and two super 40 flowmasters it is fairly deep and in no way import sounding! mine is deep enough to set off car alarms fairly easy now. I fell over laughing few days ago at the mall with the garage parking, i was just under the exit area and foot slipped as i shifted in the seat and heard atleast 4 car alarms going off.

IMO X pipe sounds the best on the 4.0. I noticed you already have duals, what kind of pipe is on there now?

Also: check out the exhaust sticky and search youtube for clips

I have the Pypes X-pipe on my car, and although not as sexy as the sound of an H-pipe it is still very throaty and only sounds slightly raspy in the high end. Still never sounds ricey, always sounds muscle. I get compliments that it sounds like a GT all the time.

My x-pipe is hooked up to GT takeoff mufflers.

I think it has a lot to do with what mufflers you have attached to the x-pipe.

i agree about the what kind of muffler you use. i have the gtb's and at 1st i though they were too quiet but after 2 weeks they keep sounding better. no rasp or popping.
