There's an easy fix for that. Go to your local hobby shop and get the antenna tips that they sell for radio control cars and planes. It is a rubber tip that will slip right on the end - I think I paid $0.75 for a pack of 15 of them.

there's always 10 times the pride and satisfaction when you do it yourself. Not knocking the guys who drop off their cars and have them remade. But as an old school hot rodder I always like to do it myself. I know what's done, I know how to do it and I know how to fix it if there's a problem down the road.

True... but like me I keep all the stock parts in case I need to replace them in the future for anything.
