I don't think anyone would call it rice. Some people have problems with badging/striping with real model names like GT500, Bullitt, cobra, shelby, GT, etc., but it's your car. If you like it, don't give a hoot what anyone else thinks. But since you are asking for opinions...I think if you are going with the Mach I theme all around, it will be cool

See I don't think it is bad to badge your car as something it is not, as long as you don't go around telling people it is a Mach 1. There was a guy at a carshow that pissed everyone off because he had a V6 with GT-500 everything, except dual exhaust and he had a cloth interior with an automatic. People would ask him if it were a GT500 and he would keep telling people it was. That irritates me, but I digress.

Yea "saying" your car is something that it is not is a no no.

I have a few people give me grief because I have GT take-off bumpers, and I hear "if you wanted a GT, why didn't you buy one" and I always reply, "If I wanted a GT I would have bought one".

I like the body kit of the GT, the body kit is not what makes the car a GT, just likes the stripes of saying Mach 1 don't make it one.

Just tell them, it is a mock up of a retro mach1!

Not ricey not. BUT, your car isnt a mach 1 so i wouldnt do it. Its like throwing ZR1 vette badges on the basic vette
