Angry Alternator at 37K miles?

What's that going to cost me? Just out of warranty too.

Should I change the plugs while it's on the rack?

That stinks that you ran out of the warranrty period. The alternators aren't cheap, from what I hear. It is easy to replace it yourself, as they are located at the front/top of the motor. Your plugs should be fine for another 50K+ miles. Now the fuel filter you may want to change, if you haven't done so already.

Alternator shouldnt be hard to replace since yes they are on the top of the motor there, that sucks how it happens when your warranty runs out.

I have had several "just miss" warranty issues and my dealer has always stepped up. I have a good relationship with them...so that may help, but they have bent the 36K to 38, 49 and even 41k in one instance.

It is worth checking into for sure.

My Pony is my DD so I could haggle a day or so. I did think about taking it to the dealer and "talk deal" with them, I just couldn't afford it if they had said "no". Add the fact that it was dead in the water at 530p, ON THE WAY TO METALLICA, so I had to call a buddy to pick us up and a tow. I just took it to one of our better local shops and bit the bullet.
