Go with the SCT XCal 3. I got the diablo originally and had a few problems with it ended up returning it and getting a custom tune XCal 3 and i worked like a dream.

I would highly suggest the X-Cal 2 or 3 since I got one recently and Bama Chips has great custom tunes for it as well. I recommend buying a XCal-2 from Doug at Bama as he will treat you very well.

to add on to my original post: i wanna start making mods to my car myself and i want to do this myself, is it relatively easy to use? in that case would the SCT SF3 be a better choice b/c of the pre loaded tunes?

If you buy your XCal tuner from Bama chips it will come custom loaded with tunes designed for your vehicle unlike the canned tunes that you would get with buying the XCal tuner from the SCT site. Also, Doug at Bama gave me this link http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=438854 to a good thread that explain it all step by step. Once you get the tuner with tunes, its a piece of cake to load into your vehicle. The best bank for my buck, really brings out the power in the stang.
