yes ford built the rear end, but the techs at the ford dealer dont deal with rear ends everyday, where as a tranny or rear end shop deals with those kinds of installes every day.

Its installed... drove it home and didn't get to test much because of traffic, Speedometer is off by about 15 mph now... LOL My GPS gives me real time speed and its always been accurate according to my Law enforcement friends and their clocking me.

Didn't really notice the Gear whine unless I was off the gas as my Side Exhausts drown it out... But once I was off the gas you could hear it.. sound like a turbine engine winding down only not that loud obviously... Doesn't bother me really... Hopefully tomorrow I can find some time to test it out a bit... I did notice that shifting from 1st gear is basically useless now.. LOL Second seemed ok...

Really excited to test it out... Tuner will be here Monday, so hopefully I can fix the speedo with that or at least get it closer... I was Dead on with the stock gears...Not a huge deal, I can adjust to that...

Thanks again for all everyone's advice and patients with this "Novice Gear Head"...

WOW, How in the world do you break them? You do burnouts every 5 seconds or somthing? LOL Or do you street race alot? I would say these parts that are built for performance and racing should last alot longer than normal ones and with lots more abuse... Maybe All parts have their POINT, and its not if you will cross it, its WHEN...

Which brings up a good point, should I take it easy on these new gears and T-Lok for awhile to break them in? Or is the best way to break them in is to use them and abuse them a bit (like a new Clutch on a Manual, burn it in a little bit)...

i dont street race, I do race on the track ocasionally, there not performance parts, there stock parts, the camaro was bolt ons and 3.73s with a shift kit and ratchet shifter, the stang i had tuned agressively and would damn near always chirp second above 4000 rpms, and a ford Tlok is not a performance part, its a factory part, and really not that strong.

you need 3 heat cylcles to get the berings to set, roughly 100 miles or so. then in 500-1000 miles change the rear diff fluid again.

Received my Tuner and BAMA tunes... WOW, what a difference! This car is ALIVE now... haven't played as much as I would like as its wet here from the rain, but so far I love it!

Currently tuned with the 93 Performance Tune... Will have to try out the 93 Torque Tune as well.... Once I get the tank low enough I will fill up with 87 Octane and try the 87 Performance Tune...

Eventually I will get a CAI as well and be SMOKING then...

Thanks to everyone for their assistance!
