Bolt on N/A's what are you running in the 1/4?
I know we have a quarter mile time thread as a sticky, but I'm curious as to what times you guys (and gals!) are running on your current bolt on setup.
Lowest I can get my car down to bone stock is 15.37 ranging up to 15.5. I don't have a ton of money, figure $1200, but I'm looking for mid 14s.
Obviously I'm looking for an intake and tune, but how about the FRPP dual package? Would a tune with that setup get me where I want to be? Not 100% interested in T-lok or gears because thats not something I can do myself (which ups the cost!)

Get the cai & tuner. This will give you the most fun for the money. You will also need some sort of performance exhaust. I have the FFRP dual exhaust on my Mustang and I think its great. These mod will really wake up your Mustang up. vmptuning.com has a cai/tuner package for $379.00 and the dual kit is $5-600.00. Our cars can run pretty good for not much money.

There are a few "factory freaks" out there. I saw a 4.0L/5spd (Stin42) with ONLY a tune, intake and axleback run a 14.4xx. That car is the exception, rather than the rule, but it is possible.
I had quite a few bolt-ons on my old 2006 PP 4.0L/5spd coupe, and ran a best ET of 14.312.

Ok from first hand experience I have seen a 5 speed stock do 15.198 in the 1/4 and at that time my best was 15.5 before I learned a better launch. Now consider a .400 difference and I have an auto and now have cai dual exhaust and custom tune I have done a 15.08 at mid altitude and a 9.3 in the 1/8 so if you have a 5 speed and practice and seeing very low 15's you should be able to drop .500 in your race so the 5 speed shoud be n the 14.5 to 14.7
Again this is based on altitude, conditions of the track and track prep.
I could be wrong but have read many a post on racing and about 30 runs in my car

go with the cai and tune def. worth it
then i would advise gears and a posi this will hugely pick up your 60 foot times
drag radials would also be good thats all i have (except my 8.8 but that just re-assures me) and i tuned my car myself
with a personal best of a 14.51@92
