yes this is a clear case of letting the little head make the decision instead of the big head!
i don't even let my wife drive the car unless im in it with her. this sucks but maybe it would be a good time to do some appearance mods. you basically need a whole new front. so negotiate well with the ins and then find a body shop that will work with you.

like lrgnation's sig says Boost gets you laid! not letting them drive your car!
this really sucks but like pascal said. she asked, she wanted to, she did it. she should pay the deduct. or at least compensate , heck maybe he will get laid.
