93 Octane Burns Dirty Compared to 87?
This might be a stupid question, but its something I have noticed... I usually ran 87 Octance in my 2006 V6 Stang... Recently I switch to using 93 Octane because I upgraded to 4:10 gears with T-LOK, and a Tuner with 93 Performance Tunes... While cleaning my car the other day I noticed that on my Dual Ecahust tips (Side Exhausts), there is more "Carbon or Soot"...
Is that a result of running 93 Octane? Before I never saw anything like it while running 87 Octane...
Logic would say that 93 burns hotter and faster equalling more Carbon-Soot in the exhaust, but thought I would ask anyways...
Its not ALLOT, but its definatly enough to ask about...

You need to get your car to a tuner and check your air/fuel ratio. You dont have to be too rich to wind up with visible deposits. It is worth the money for sure as your tuner will be tuned for your car...not a sample.

Its because your car is running a little rich. It's perfectly fine and is a sign that you have a safe tune. Since you are running a mail order tune, the tune will be a little bit on the rich side. Every car is a bit different so the mail order tunes have to be a little bit conservative to prevent detonation and other problems that occur from running lean.
