Default Fastest 0-60 time for us V6'ers??

Whats the fastest 0-60 time anyone's got on here with the 4.0? I'm asking because usually people on here speak of 1/4 times but you never here the 0-60...and I must say I LOVE fast acceleration.

So whats the fastest 0-60 time anyone has got with their 4.0, the catch is it has to be Street Legal with Street Tires.

Also whats the best mods to improve acceleration?

I was planning on doing the GT500 Front Fascia + GT500 Rear bumper and duals but now I'm reconsidering and trying to decide whether I want to do the looks or improve power & acceleration. Which supercharger/turbo would be the best to get faster acceleration from a standstill??

Mild mods should put you in low 6's, but it is hard to measure accurately. Stock is 6.9 according to magazine testers...not shabby at all.

Getting power to the ground is the key. A lightly modded 6 with power to the ground will give a GT a good run in the 100 yard dash. With gears and a T-lok...the car will explode off the line.

if you want improved acceleration, cai and tuner combo and gears and differential combo, then go spend the big cash if its not enough..imo

most people run quarter mile you cant really get an accurate 0-60 without a GPS system like the car mags use.

Stock is about 6.9 auto and 6.5 manual .However in the cold temps now my v6 manual with just ninosport duals I believe will do low 6s which should give me high 14s 1/4 mile

I find it odd that the mags rate the manual as the faster car. The ONLY way that is going to happen is with a very skilled professional driver.

In identical cars...autos come out on top every time from point to point...there is no doubt about it. Anyone that spends time at a track will know that.

I have a feeling that for normal human drivers and not some cyborg driver, that auto will still get 6.9 and manuals will be in the low 7's.

Once you get a tune (especially with the auto) those times will drop considerably. You have to go by feel, but it a stock auto is 8.9...I think CAI/tune should push it close to 6 flat.
