Drove an hour and a half to got pick out the stang when it was new, just going by a dealer's online inventory list. Just a couple weeks ago, drove 140 miles to get a rear bumber cover for peanuts...in fog and very wet roads on a very busy interstate highway...risky.
Most other stuff has been delieiverd or picked up locally.

I have a story for both my Mustang and Cougar.
Mustang story:
I drove to three different Las Vegas (an hour away from where I live) dealers in one night trying to find the Mustang I wanted. I saw an ad for one of the dealerships and was trying to find a dealership to match the ad. The first dealership I went to was the one with the ad. The car they had rwas a redfire metallic, but it had the tan interior I didn't want. So I drove to the next dealership. They had a nice white one with a dark charcoal interior but the whole trunk had been swapped out for a GT trunk. It had the GT spoiler and badge. I didn't want either. So I went to another dealership and they didn't even help me at that one. So, I drove back to Las Vegas the next day to the last Ford dealership. I ended up buying my car there.
Cougar story:
I came across an ad for a '68 Cougar on Craigslist. I drove down to where the guy lived (Las Vegas again), looked at the car and said i'd get back to him. A few days later I came back with the money, bought the car and drove it back to my girlfriend's house. I called AAA and told them my car had stalled and needed it towed. i had them tow it all the way back to my house, just because I didn't feel safe driving it on the highway.

Detailing is where I get crazy. I will spend 6 hours detailing my baby before a night out on the town, even if I know it will rain the next day.
I will not park close to anyone, and I always park driver side close to parking lot islands. She doesn't have a ding, scratches or a single rock chip yet. I'm fanatical about my washing/drying techniques.
