GT500 engine in 06 Mustang V6

Hi, I bought some time ago a cheap 2006 Mustang GT V6 and I´m planning to modify it to the GT500 front with the SuperSnake hood and the GT500 engine + tremec 6-speed transmission.

I also plan to use the ford racing drag pack and the handle pack.

As I saw on pictures, the 5.4L V8 needs other cooling-parts, oil-pump and so on.
My question is, do I need the whole equipment for the engine to replace the old parts or will there be some of the V6 parts compatible?

Buckman has a GT500 in his. Here is his info: http://www.pacana-mustang.com/
Mike@Powerhouse did all the work on it, he also put a 5.4 3v in mine. Both jobs were very well done.

Flapjack as also done a 5.4 3v conversion and has a lot of knowledge on this as well.

because a single gt500 is much more expensive than modify my mustang v6, which costs 12000€ as I bought it.

so i will get a supersnake for much lesser than a regular gt500 will cost. I´ve read on a webpage, that listet the supersnake-package, that a regular gt500 costs minimum 45000 $.. including the SS-package its around 75-80k $

my planned project therefore will cost around 40k €!

Point on other motors, best bet is to stick with a mod motor, so the computer can marry up to it and the electronics in your car.

no, I want to build in the ford racing supercharged V8 with 500hp, its a sort of a smaller version from the supersnake engine, which also is avaible.
the 500hp-machine is full dressed and comes with the supercharger, ofcourse there is a wiring and PCM kit avaible for it.

an other question, will the axis from my V6 be strong enough for the 500hp V8?

You will want to upgrade to a 8.8 rear. That is whats stock on GTs and T 500s. The 7.5 will not survive with that power level.

damn, you guys are pretty hardcore.. I am glad I didn't get into a project like this. Being OCD I'd spend my every waking moment on it until it was finished. It's a great project indeed.

You will want the GT500 suspension under there as well
and the brakes as the engine is quite heavier than the V6.
Heck, after you are done, it wont be a V6 at all.
Might as well buy a GT500 and work a little harder
to be able to afford it.
The electronics are going to be a biatch unless you work
at a Ford Dealership. Good luck and keep us informed.
Here are some wiring diagrams you will need.
