Glad to hear of it's performance enhancement.. going Bama race tune this springtime, along with 4.10s, exhaust cutouts and full race delete plates..

is the throttle response that quick?

i plan on getting a tune in the near future but i don't want to be fish tailing in every turn.

Interesting input from you boys. Still on the fence now. Sure, I'd love to add the t-loc when jumping into the 3.73 gears, twice the laydown of power, rather than everything to one wheel. However, is costly and more labor involved. I don't drive in the rain, and don't drive crazy (although, we all know it's fun to put the hammer down from time to time!) Anyone else have practical experience running a 4.0, with 3.73 gears and an open differential?

I'll also be starting out with switching to the 93 octane tune I got from DiabloSport when I purchased the tuner. We'll see how it goes, if i need to go to Doug @ Bama sounds like he's the gent to see!

^^Man just save up until you have enough for the t-lock and gears. You're going to get the gears in and then eventually wish you had the t-lock to go with it. Think about it man, no more one wheel peels! Good luck..

Not really. Maybe 1-2 MPGs less but I haven't really noticed. If you go for the race tune you will have to run premium though. Running premium isn't that big of a deal. Its only about $3 more to fill up per tank.

must be, from what I have been reading about that particular tune... I kinda want to try getting that tune before putting the 4.10s in, just to see if I still need the gears, being that they might be too aggressive for his tunes and my car being an auto. He actually told me specifically to go with 3.73s instead because of how aggressive his 2-3 shifts are. I kinda understand where he is coming from being that those two shifts are dead quick with the tach never dropping below 5k (during WOT) from each of those shifts from what I have seen and heard... I don't know though, from what I have read people that LOVE acceleration have no regrets with the 4.10s...
