I am interested in getting the DiabloSport Predator.

I already have a K&N CAI installed..

What do you think of it?

Love it...order it from Bama and get a three pack of tunes specific for your car and CAI. The canned tune to custom tunes cannot be compared...they are NIGHT AND DAY.

You are looking at a MAJOR change in your car.

Get the tuner brand your dyno/tuner guy in your area uses if you
ever plan on taking it in for a dyno tune. Other than that, they
are basically the same. Whos tune do you plan on running?
Custom or canned eMail type?
Some CAIs require a tune and some dont.
Is the K&N on there right now without a tune?
If so and it requires a tune, bad news.
If so and it does not require a tune,
then a tuner wont be much good with
a CAI that does not require a tune.

K&N doesn't require a tune. Thats ok tho, my Airaid doesn't either and it works great with my BAMAtunes...

I haven't had it tuned yet... I was just going to use the "canned" tunes that came with it for the 93.

It doesn't cost any more money to buy your tuner from one of the best like VMP or bama then buy from someone that sells it with canned tunes. Canned tunes suck compared to tunes from the top tuners. Get it from these guys and the tuner is already loaded with the 3 great tunes(your choice too)for the same price as the canned tuner. You live in Florida so go see Justin at vmptuning.com in Debary. He's one of the best V6 tuners there is. Don't waste your money on canned tunes!

My S&B is also a "no tune required" CAI. Benchmark before and after with a dyno tune yielded an 18hp increase. That to me is well worth it.

The K&N CAI is a quality CAI and any of the good tuners can write an agressive tune for it. The real performace you feel is in the tune and not so much in the CAI.

Get the tune OP...and dont even mess with the canned tune. The custom "Race" tune is what you want...you will think someone swapped motors on you while you slept.

I stand corrected. Thats good to know because I have an AirAid as well.
What tune are YOU running with your airaid, SoCali? A canned tune
or a specifically written tune for the AirAid CAI?
