I already owned a 2001 v6 stang when i traded for this one. Honestly, the only thing i wanted was the s197 looks and a convertible. I remember actually turning down gt cars because i wanted better gas mileage. now, even with a cai/tune from evolution, i still get 29 mpg.
someone on here said it best. a gt is only a second faster than the v6 in the quarter mile and you have to get to 100 mph to get to a second. Honestly, how many times are you gonna fly down the highway racing another car at 100mph? if you want a track car that will go fast, get a 2000 dollar clunker, drop a crate engine in it and run 12's. if you want a badass looking car with respectable numbers and good mpg's, get a v6 stang. thats what i did.

yeah i cant really say cause i've never driven a GT before, so reading off the papers, the 80 torque and 60 hp difference between the 6xer and the GT is irrelevant? but anywayss haha thanks for your guys' support, i was kinda forced to buy the car but im growing to like the car very much. after driving about 3k miles, the cars been waking up a bit, clutch isnt as stiff anymore etc etc. budget is an issue like most people... so i just wanna do something small for now, i just want to feel better about the appearance hope u guys understand lol. not trying to rice out the car or anything but i dislike the plain grill of the v6 so im looking to buy this billet grille, cant find the site, but i bookmarked it at home. for some reason i cant tell the difference bettwen the black chrome billet grille and chrome billet grille? the site i found was selling a black chrome for $100, while other sites has the chrome billet for 250++ they really seem the same to me so kinda confused there;; if i get a dual exhaust, im thinking of welding it done at a friends shop, what are the costs involved in getting a dual? like the hangers and such.. thanks i think i kinda rambled on here but yeah.. haha thanks

i've only researched exhaust for gt's, was gonna get the catless H-pipe FRPP borla stingers, wondering if there is anything like that for the v6?

Catless setups don't sound good on the 6ers. I have the FRPP dual kit for the 6er (x-pipe with GTA mufflers) and prefer that. There are other kits that use H, X, and y pipes.. but they all keep the cats.

newtakoff.com may have parts from, or a complete GT take off exhaust.. as well as other placed. Buying GT takeoff mufflers (they are very cheap.. and possible free if you search for them) and having a friend put together an H or X set up shouldn't cost too much.

I prefer an H pipe, then you can use the same FRPP Stingers. It will sound good.

Ok the kit I ordered from Borla came with hangers so I didn't need to order them. If your kit doesn't include hangers, you can buy them from americanmuscle(.com). You also need over axle pipes to connect the H-pipe to the mufflers. Also, you do not NEED a GT rear bumper, but if you don't get one your going to have to cut your V6 bumper with a template from pypesexhaust(.com).
