It took my iSimple over 3 months to finally crap out. Best Buy gave me a hard time as it was past the return policy and they didn't have any replacements. Don't know what version this was as it was a year ago that this happened, but it was the clear (white) unit. I've since swapped out my head unit for a Kenwood with IPod and Bluetooth built in. Total cost (after selling my old head unit on ebay) was $180, plus I got handsfree bluetooth and a nice storage area under the single din radio.

my unit is black and it sounds like the one you had was the model that produced errors. i'm about 2 months running so i'll keep you all posted on a month-to-month basis. my first unit wigged out after about 2 months.

looks like isimple and brandmotion are basically the same.. but brandmotion's $50 to $75 more, whats the advantage of brandmotion?
I did some research on the two and the reviews for brand motion seem to be 50/50 liking it/hating it while isimple seems to have good results all around

Yep, I have the ISFD73. It has worked great up to now. Like I said though for the first time on Friday my dash did go wonky on me for about 10 minutes then stopped. My fuel gauge would sweep sporadically, warning lights flashed on and off. ( Traction control, oil pressure, ect....)

I am going to monitor it and will keep you guys updated. Hopefully it was just a glitch and it wont happen again. I even contacted Peripheral and asked if they fixed the problem before I bought it and they said that it was fixed and to make sure I had the latest revision which I downloaded to the unit before I installed it.

Cheers

well.... from what i was told (from a sales rep), brandmotion was getting a lot of returns due to malfunctions also. that was the primary reason i gave the isimple a shot.
