Default Putting 2006 gt 18" "fan blade" rims on my 2005 V6 Mustang

I just bought a set of 18" 2006 GT fan blade rims with the stock BF Goodrich G Force T/A KDWS 235/50 ZR18 tires. Currently my 2005 V6 has the 16" wheels and tires that came with the car. When I put the new rims and tires next to my current ones it shows that the new 18" stand taller. Is this going to cause any problems?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Cheers,
John.

First off, I didnt know that fan blades were 18" rims.
Second, Is this measurment/comparison with the
current tires supporting the load of a mustang
while the new fanblades are not?
The math and the factory say that
the revs/mile are the same for those stock OEM tire sizes.
Wrap a tape measurer around the tires and
compare the numbers. Divide 63360 by the
inches round for the revs/mile.
You will need steering limiters or the tires will
rub on the insides in a full lock turn.

Note: For vehicles with 16" wheels from the factory:
-installing 17" x 8" wheels, use steering stop 4R3Z-3932-BA
-Installing 18" x 8.5" or 18" x 9.5" wheels, use steering stop 6R3Z-3932-CA

215/65R16 STOCK
8.464" WIDE
27.003" TALL
84.835" ROUND
747 REVS / MILE

235/55ZR17 STOCK
9.251" WIDE
27.177" TALL
85.379" ROUND
742 REVS / MILE

235/50R18 STOCK
9.251" WIDE
27.251" TALL
85.641" ROUND
740 REVS / MILE

I have a 2007 (Non-PP) V6;
*Switched my 16" stock wheels/rims off last night
*Installed 18" 2008 GT Bullit take-offs

I def had to jack the car up higher after taking the 16" off to fit the 18"s on (taller), but I didn't have any clearance issues afterwards. The most unnerving part was how close the rim sits to the brake assembly at first, but ultimately, the rims clear them fine.

Yea, the clearance sure is scary.

-Yes, the 16" rims are on the car and I just sat the 18"'s in front of them.

First off, I didnt know that fan blades were 18" rims.

-They appear to be 18x8.5. Maybe I am not calling them by the right name, that was what the guy I bought them from called them, I will attach a picture

Thanks for the advice, I just like to have some idea before I go to the dealership to have them installed, sometimes it's hard to trust their information.
