Default VMP v. C&L

I was wondering if anyone knew if there is any significant difference between the vmp and the C&L cold air intake for the v6. Specifically -- why is the VMP so much cheaper.

It seems that I can get a package with an intake, tuner, and GT muffler for the same price as a C&L plus tuner.

The C&L comes with an aluminum air inlet tube and the VMP uses the stock air inlet tube. Nothing fancy but it seems to perform just fine. Plus the price is right. Go to vmptuning.com and they have pictures of both. You can't go wrong with VMPs Mustang V6 power package.

as far as more specifics go... vmp uses a 3" MAF housing whereas the C&L uses a 3.25" housing diameter. not sure how significant that is considering our engines can only take in so much air with stock internals anyway.

C&L is more expensive for a reason... you get a higher quality product. period.
