exhaust conversion help
I have the money now I just need to make sure will any X pipe or H pipe work. So ones that are designed for the GT work with the V6? I'm pretty sure yes but I need a definite answer. Such as can I buy a FRPP GT X pipe.
Thanks again!

The V6 X pipe has 2.25" inlet and 2.5" outlet to
match the 2.25" V6 Y pipe diameter where you make
the cuts for the X pipe joints. GT X or
H pipes are 2.5" both inlet and outlet. So, if you
use a GT X or H you'll have a gap/leak. Most popular
V6 X pipe is Pypes XFM-44. Band clamps will work
for the Pypes V6 X. Most people choose to weld the
GT X or H pipes to the V6 Y cutoff because of the
gap from different pipe diameters. Hope this helps.

Yes, both the V6 midpipe and the GT's are 2.5. You should be able to get
by with a driver's side Dynomax midpipe ($38 at Rock auto) and reuse your
V6 passenger side.
If you prefer stainless, Pypes also sells either side or both.
