Wheel Spacers???

Wheel Spacers???
any comments/opinions on wheel spacers for the OEM bullitts?
i would like to get some DD wheels down the road but its not a priority at this point. i thought that spacers would give that aggressive wider stance look and add a bit better handling at the same time. i was thinking the Eibach 1" spacers on all four wheels would look good. any helpful feedback would be much appreciated. thanks.

I have read several places about spacers, and the general attitude is standard spacers are not safe because they have the potential of coming loose, lug nuts coming off and tires coming off.
With that being said, they also say if you are going to run spacers you need to change out your lugs to longer ones so the lug nuts can actually bite down and prevent that.
I personally wouldn't recommend any kind of spacer, but that is my personal preference.

There are 3 general types of spacers, bad, dangerous, and safe.
Wheel spacers are cheap fix for bad looking wheels and a necessity for certain types of high end tuners, so because of the vast differences in people that require them you'll get all kinds of products, some that will mess up your car.
The only two companies I'd stick to are H&R and Eibach with a preffence for H&R staying within these brands will result in zero problems from the spacers.
Joe random down the street may also offer spacers but stay away.
Spacers will not improve your handeling, the gains in stance will be offset by the gain in rotational inertia and the suspension geometry being out of it's intended spec and working worse.
Spacers are there to improve looks. Personally if I were on the boarder of buying (quality) spacers and not I would get them just because of the high chance of being surprised by the change in looks you could get. They're not that expensive, and not that permanent and their improvements are more than worth it meaning even a potential improvement may pay off. Making a car's wheels really wide easily looks sexy.

i think they would help the "aggressive" look quite a bit but if they have any good chance of doing my car harm, then its a no-go. i was originally thinking of the 1" spacers from eibach.

If you want a more agressive stance without using spacers, try working with a rim dealer and tell them you want a different offset. Offset on a rim is what determines where the rim is placed in relations to the mounting point...

what you want is a negative offset. Just how much is something you need to discuss with the wheel jocky.

Not positive but doesnt the 99-04 mustang rims give a 22 off set. Won't that give you the more aggressive wider stance you are looking for. Granted not the cheapest way to get there but I have heard nothing good about spacers. No expert on rims or tires by any means however.
