I would say go for the Trufiber brands of hoods, many people have them and they seem to be good hoods. I prefer the 429 Style from them but they have a bunch to choose from, plus most are ramair. As for the paint, well your going to have to do it with any hood you order, even from the Ford place they are going to have to paint it.

Ok, if I go with Cervini concept, how is the fit on that hood? Will there be a lot of prep work required?

It will fit the V6 and the Trufibers are great hoods but require alot more prep then Cervinis IMO and I have both.....PM pascal or bodyman and ask their take on the hoods.

The Cervinis has a very good gelcoat and requires much less prep (less labor=more money saved) and the concept hood is worth a look into...Cervinis evens paints the hoods too.....get the underside painted too (costs more but looks 100x better)

Honestly the hood for sale on here is the best deal. You will have to get it repainted but as mentioned above you are going to have to do that anyways. It is a heck of a deal for that hood. The only reason I did not jump all over it was because i'm not really that close.

Well, got my appraisal. $4200 worth of hail damage. OUCH! The good news is that the hood needs to be replaced and the insurance co. and body shop are cool with the Cervini concept. So thanks guys! It'll look sweet when it is done.

Oh and get this, they have to replace the roof! I gotta get pictures of that!

Have them put in the glass-back roof! It's probably no more expensive than they are quoting for the sheet metal one.

That is a great idea....wont have to worry about paint chipping as much if at all on the top of the car should another hail storm dump on your ride .....(hope that doesn't happen again)
