Default Lets talk Hoods....

Ok, so my '08 V6 Mustang got creamed in a hailstorm this week. Most likely the hood needs to be replaced. So I was thinking, why not upgrade at the same time its getting fixed. I am going to try and work a deal with the insurance company/Dealership where I am going to get it repaired. Anyway.... from a quality fit and finish vs. appearance, what are my best options? Will the Ford Racing GT 500 hood fit or will it not due to not having the GT front fascia? I'd prefer to go with a Ford hood vs. aftermarket unless there is an equal quality aftermarket hood. What is the best looking hood out there?

Suggestions? Links if you got 'em!

I personally like the cervini GTK500. What color is your car and where do you live? there is a guy on here selling one.

Mine is black. Would these hoods fit a Non GT? I am in Austin, the waco guy is close, but the color change makes it too pricey.

Hey I'm in Austin too
I would go with the GTK500 its really nice and has vents pluss ramair. Or for cheaper and a better look (imho) with the less aggressive V6 bumper theres the Cervini concept hood w ramair

i have seen them as low as $410 other places

Will the GT 500 hood work on the V6 without the GT front fascia?

The GT500 Hood requires the GT500 front fascia also. It will not fit our cars without the Fascia. I looked into it a long time ago...

I did have my GT500 front fascia ordered but I had to put it on hold.

Thanks for that info. Looks like the Cervini concept is the front runner. Will it fit the v6 front end?
