Been there, done that. Twice. 16s to 17s to 18s.
Same lug nuts.
No spacers as the increased offset of the 17x8"
rims (45mm as opposed to the 39mm of the 16s)
will keep the tire in the correct OEM placement.
There is very little different from the V6 to the GT
platform on these S197 and almost anything GT
can be put on the V6 if done with certain knowledge.

You will need steering stops according to Ford.
Or they will rub when you turn lock to lock.
Thats why the V6 with 16" rims has a smaller
turning radius that the PP or GT with the 17"
rims.

Note: For vehicles with 16" wheels from the factory:
-installing 17" x 8" wheels, use steering stop 4R3Z-3932-BA
-Installing 18" x 8.5" or 18" x 9.5" wheels, use steering stop 6R3Z-3932-CA
For vehicles with 17" wheels from the factory:
-installing 18" x 8.5" or 18" x 9.5" wheels, use steering stop 6R3Z-3932-CA
