Arrow No muffler on V6

Has anyone taken their muffler off and started the car to hear what it sounds like? Did it sound ok or terrible? Also, has anyone done a dual exhaust setup on our V6 with no mufflers? What did it sound like? Thanks for any information.

When I originally switched my stock V6 muffler to a single Flowmaster I started it up after the muffler was off and drove it around the neighborhood, and it's loud, but it sounds like total sh-t. Really, really bad.

V6 + no mufflers (duals or single) = crap.

You can get some sweet muffler setups to make your car sound awesome (duals or single), but it needs a muffler, definitely. If you don't want to blow too much cash, just put on a GT take-off muffler for cheap. It'll sound way better and louder without sounding retarded.

In my state you are required to have mufflers if you want your car to pass inspection.

Just put some duals on and you will be happy.....I know I am!

Idle/Turn out sounds great. When you accelerate, it sounds like the car wants to blow up.
