Order to tighten lug nuts?

Just rotated my tires.
Tightened them up to 35 Ft Lbs in a star pattern.
Then went to 65 Ft Lbs again in a star pattern.
Then to 98 Ft Lbs in a star pattern like the owners
manual shows.
Stay away from the impact wrenches.
If you dont tighten them up in stages
and in a star pattern, there is a chance
of the rotors getting in a warped situation
and your brakes will pulsate and suffer...

They are not the exactly the same from year to year.
I have the 05, the 06, the 07 and the 08 printed S197
Owners manuals and they changed a few things from year to year.
Let me rephrase that since we are splitting hairs here...
Final torque is 98 Ft Lbs as stated in the Ford 07 S197 Workshop Manual.
