Default Interesting, Different Intake - R2C Performance

http://www.r2cperformance.com/2005-08_mustang.html

Do you know anyone who has purchased this intake for the V6 or the GT? The price seems really steep - $300 for the V6 and $350 for the GT

Really interesting design there on the filter, seems like improved air flow without compromising the efficiency of dust collection.

Any thoughts on it? You guys think it would be worth the price of $300?

Default R2C V-6 Intake

Thanks to everyone that contacted us over the last few days regarding our 4.0 V-6 cold air intake design. We appreciate this forum and the members interest in our products.

To answer some of the questions you have asked:

R2C Performance has been involved in the design, engineering and manufacture of sophisticated, severe duty intake systems and premium intake air filters for decades. The U.S. military is our largest client. We build systems for many platforms including the Bradley and Humvee.

We design and manufacturer what we feel are the highest quality intake systems and filters available in our Forest Park, IL facility. We have test labs on the premises and our tesing capabilities are very advanced. Unlike the majority of intake companies, we design and produce our own filters based on the highest standards. Our mandates are not only the lowest restriction and best power production over the life of the filter (clean and when dust loaded), but also unmatched engine protection featuring a patented and proprietary synthetic filter media that never requires oil or solvent cleaning. While fully washable for cosmetic reasons, R2C filters are maintained using low presure compressed air and blowing the filter clean from the inside. The filters are completely restored and will last as long as the car. Vehicle owners will never spend a dime on maintenance products or spend the time and effort cleaning and oiling.

Our unique intake tubes are lab designed and offer the lowest restriction levels while maximizing volume, distribution profiles and air flow quality. R2C systems will make power as bolt on modifications and offer the opportunity to maximize this additional volume through tuning.

You can review the information, product testing and dyno results using this link:

http://www.r2cperformance.com/2005-08_mustang.html

We tested a stock car that was using regular fuel. We also tuned the air fuel ratio and ignition timing and the result was a near 20 HP gain.

We will work with the forum administrators and offer forum members a group discount. Please contact us for any additional information regarding our premium Mustang intake systems.

Thanks again,
R2C Performance

Do you have before and after dyno graphs to prove your 20hp claims?

Default R2C Dyno Testing

We can supply the tuned dyno test data for anyone that requires it. The tuning was based on the use of regular fuel. We had planned on testing again using premium but the overall gains were quite good without the need for the higher octane fuel, although, it's safe to assume that the higher octane fuel and related tuning changes it affords would provide an additional increase.

P.S. We will offer a nice discount program for forum members in the upcoming group buy.
