Default Shaker 500 Rattling Noise

Ok so i have the shaker 500 system and when my music is playing the bass shakes the car like i love. But the power window switches on the drivers side rattle. Making an annoying rattling noise when the music is playing. If i put my fingers on both switches, the rattling goes away. I took it to best buy when i was getting my alarm fixed and asked for advice and they said because the rattling was comming from the switches and not the actual door panel, theres nothing i could realy do... any advice?

I had a rattle in my drivers side door except it happened constantly between 2300-3500 rpms because of how low my exhaust is. I told the guys that tinted my windows this and to watch out and see if anythings loose. I watched them tint my windows and install moleskin (they took the door panels off) and they didn't change anything but after they were done the rattle was gone. I'm afraid it might be starting to come back though... I don't know where mine came from and I don't think it stopped when I pushed on the window switches. Maybe ford forgot to put something soft between two plastic pieces???

BestCry has the WORST overpaid installers in the world.
My advise is to stop going to BestCry.
DYNAMAT is the answer. Period.
It will remove even the most stubborn rattle.

It's not the switches. It's the switch housing. Take out the armrest panel containing the window switches, and you'll see that the entire switch housing - not just the switches - rattles around inside the arm rest panel. Remove the switch housing, stick some Dynamat to all sides contacting the armrest panel, and reinstall the whole thing. Should take less than five minutes.

same noise, different spot on the door; I used foam tape you would use on something like windows and door frames around your house to make a better seal. Much cheaper than Dynomat IMO, especially for something this small

mine was rattling also, in the same place, the plastic around the window switches had poped out a little bit, just had to give it a lil push and it went back in. dont know if its the same though

This is a very common problem with our stangs. I had it in mine too. Google TSB 07-17-6 and you'll find all the info you need. If you're under warranty like I was the dealer will fix it for free. You can also DIY
