Default V6 Exhaust

Maybe a bad question but....
Would a stock v8 dual exhaust be able to fit onto a v6?

Yes , it will fit. You would just have to rework the front of the pipes by the converters and also trim the rear bumper so the tailpipes would clear.

I use a GT takeoff setup on mine. Originally, it was tapped into the piping ahead of the Y.
The stock V6 pipes between the cats and Y are 2.25", while the GT pipes are 2.5".

can the 2.25 be taken off and the GT take off bolt right up or is there a little fab work involved?

No, the downpipe design and connection to the manifolds is different. You cant take off an entire gt system form the manifold back and put it in; the connection to the manifold wouldn't fit. Otherwise the rest would go right in.

Buy an aftermarket x or h and install it with some mid pipes and use the GT takeoff mufflers if you want.

several companies sell a complete V6 conversion to duals kit. It comes w/GT take offs. It's under $300 for the whole kit. New take off has them among others.
