Default GT Muffler on the g/f's V6... Finally!

I finally found the time to install the passenger side stock GT muffler (had only 12k miles on it) from my manual GT on the g/f's V6 pony. As far as the install is concerned, the one hanger bolt facing down directly above and near the rear of muffler ws a bear as expected but all-in-all, it went well.

Sound-wise, it definatley has a little more and deeper growl than her stock muffler with only about 11k miles on it. From previous posts, it looks like the muffler from a manual GT has a bit less restriction than that of one off of an auto.

My g/f keeps fairly good records of her fuel mileage and, although I doubt we'll see any noticeable difference, I'll report any findings after a month or so.

LOL! Too frickin' funny!

It's the takeoff from my GT and it had 12,000 miles on it when I took it off so I expect it to get louder. Her stock muff...ler had only about 11,000 on it.

I actually bought her the car this past April and I put about 40 miles on it driving it home from the dealership before she even laid eyes on it. She lets me drive it whenever I want and I created a post a month or so back about how the V6 just didn't "do it" for me. Needless to say, it got quite controversial and I asked the mods to lock it. Lot's of nasty stuff between V6 and GT owners that I never meant to occur. Her V6 is as sharp as my GT, don't get me wrong. I just like to get laid... back into my seat when I hammer it.

We are both enjoying the used/new MUFFler; my page won't let me post any pic so I will let Nuke DO IT (anytime, anywhere so long as a Stang is involved)

I wouldn't say it's huge but it's definitely noticeable to the discerning ear. Also, both her stock muffler and the stock one from the GT weren't completely broken in so I expect a bit more growl over time.

If its off a manual transmission GT, the answer is YES!!
If it off an AUTO GT, the answer is NO!!
