Default Pony pkg fogs to GT fogs

I bought a street scenes center fog grill and some newtakeoff GT fogs. Pulled the old grill out and installed the new. Of course the fog light plugs are different. But the're just 2 wires. So I cut the ends off the wiring harness I go with the SS grill and patched them in. No fogs. Thinking I'd reversed the positive and negative maybe, since the SS harness just had 2 black leads, I reversed the wires. No lights. Anyone have any insight into what the problem could be ?

if you already have pony package lights and you are installing GT lights... all you had to do was unplug the "extensions" (about a 12" section of wire harness that plugged into your ppackage lights) and then plug the wires straight into the GT fogs. No splicing, no alterations, plugs up factory like.

Whoops.
Should asked before instead of cutting and telling later...

The fogs are not positive/negative sensitive.
Are you verifying voltage with a test light or
a voltmeter? Did you turn on the fog switch?
Are your high beams on? Pony/GT fogs dont
work with the high beams.
Did the ponies work before you cut the wires?
Were the fogs on when you cut the wires?
Did you cut them one at a time or both together.
Is your fog relay and fuse in the BEC OK? Does
the relay click when you turn on the fogs?
More info.
Internet electrical problem diagnosis is a biatch......

The fogs are not positive/negative sensitive. Didn't know that, good info thanks
Are you verifying voltage with a test light or a voltmeter? not yet, next step
Did you turn on the fog switch? yes
Are your high beams on? Pony/GT fogs dont work with the high beams. switch is on
Did the ponies work before you cut the wires? yes
Were the fogs on when you cut the wires? no
Did you cut them one at a time or both together. 1 at a time
Is your fog relay and fuse in the BEC OK? will check it
Does the relay click when you turn on the fogs? will check this also thanks.

Appreciate the answer. factory fogs worked perfectly. New take off GT's, doesn't seem possible but maybe the bulbs are bad ? If the lights aren't positive/neg sensitive it has to be bulbs I guess.

try again, the bulb plugs for the GT fogs are different than the Pony fogs. But thanks for the words of encouragement. Let me be the second to remind you that you're mistaken.

this was obviously the first thing I did. But it was not to be. The plug for the GT lights has the pins farther apart, the indent for the groove to indicate which way the plug goes in is different and the outside has a different fastener. I even looked at switching the bulbs between the two but they mount quite a bit differently. So as the Street Scene grill came with a complete wiring harness, I spliced just the ends to the two wires per side.

Yes, bulbs different.
Fog light harness is default for a GT but when used for a PP fog set-up
from factory, there are pigtails plugged into the default GT harness
and lengthens them slightly and changes the plug to PP
fog light bulb plug. Remove the short GT to PP fog light OEM
pigtail adapters and the GT fogs plug right into the harness...
Unless you have some super updated fog light harness pony...

thanks, I'll look this over one more time. And I meant to say high beam switch ISN'T on. I cycled it through a couple times to make sure.

I saw the harness that plugged into a shorter set of plugs, I thought I examined it pretty closely, but based on your advice I'll scope it out again tonight. Thanks a million for the help.

Naw, just a regular old, run of the mill pony pkg.
