Default Wheels with spnners

I am happy to have found this forum so quickly and this is my first post. I just took delivery of a new 05 V6 Mustang, this will be my daughters car as she is starting college. The car has the stock aluminum wheels with the chrome spinners which I thought gave it a very retro look. However, I was very dissapointed to find out how quickly they can be removed! Surley someone has come up with someway or somehow to attach the spinners to the wheel over Fords design. The wheels look great and I dont want to have to deal with having them stolen all the time. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

Do a search on the forums, there has been a fix posted for that. Basically it was to remove the wheels and install a piece of PVC pipe into the back of the spinner so that it will not compress enough to be removed from the wheel. It has to be done from the back of the wheel with the spinner already in place because once the PVC is inserted, the spinner cannot be installed on the wheel either. It's a good, cheap fix!

The spinners really can be easily removed. I had my original pony spinners replaced with Ford logo spinners while in a community center.... a very unethical form of bartering... oh well... gave me a lovey excuse to get new wheels!

great fix idea. fortunately not a lot of people know how easy they are removed. many of the rental cars i have seen were missing them. have you noticed they whisle at speed, i had some on my 86 GT and they did too.

Do the little chrome spinner that looks like a Star with only 3 edges and the mustang logo in the center really spin? My mustang came with the 17' Bullitts so I really don't know. Cause I like the look on those rims and was wondering if I should get them. The bullitts dont suit me.
